Jason Chaffetz, the outgoing Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, threw down the gauntlet on those attempting to take down our President from the inside.
He said that despite party affiliation, anybody illegally leaking information about the Trump administration should be in jail.
“I don’t care who it is – Democrat or Republican – you cannot have that happen,” he said. “You probably ought to put some handcuffs on him.”
Chaffetz made the comments during an interview on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz blasted anonymous individuals who have leaked damaging information about the Trump administration to the press.
Chaffetz said leakers, allegedly from within the White House, have leaked information, resources and methodology to mainstream outlets like the Washington Post and New York Times.

Chaffetz continued to rail against the leakers, focusing on an often-overlooked aspect of the news cycle because the media would rather report on items damaging to President Trump, rather than issues of national security.
“I want to see that this person is prosecuted,” he said. “No matter who is in the White House, you cannot have the type of leaking of information, sources, methods, classified information.”
Dennis Kucinich, a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat, recently warned that the individual or individuals leaking this information to the press are trying to “destroy Donald Trump’s presidency.”
Kucinich warned Americans that, “Our country itself is under attack from within” by what he called the “deep state,” and defined the leaks against Trump as a “clear and present danger.”
These dangerous entities need to be stopped! It’s been readily evident for some time that President Trump needs to purge his administration of any Obama holdovers, Democrats, or establishment Republicans who are trying to sabotage his presidency.
