Democrat Ilhan Omar spoke down to the American people in an interview published Thursday, arguing certain factions of the Democrat party are too smart and are fighting for “things that most people can’t understand.”
Omar made the condescending remarks during an interview with The Intercept’s Mehdi Hasan.
The Minnesota congresswoman was discussing her respect for what she calls the “[Senator Elizabeth] Warren wing” of the party, despite having endorsed Bernie Sanders for President.
“What I also believe is that there is a Warren-wing of our party, and I would say that’s most Democrats,” she explained.
And of that majority of Democrats, Omar states that they believe “we’re the smartest in the room” while the others debate and fight for things “most people can’t understand.”

Any group of Democrats in which Omar or other members of the Squad are a part of immediately become the most ignorant people in the room.
Not in Omar’s eyes, however.
“I mean it’s the one thing that everybody accuses us of. We think we’re the smartest in the room. We are very policy-oriented. We care about the details,” she claimed.
Nobody thinks that Democrats honestly believe they’re the smartest in the room. In fact, that’s the one thing Democrats know – that they’re not the smartest people. Why else would they have to denigrate every political argument into an allegation that their opponent is racist, sexist, or xenophobic? Democrats aren’t smart enough to argue policies and platforms.
Omar went on to explain that her resistance party, which has been fighting solely to overturn the results of the 2016 election since she entered the House, is just too complicated for the average American to understand.
“Just today we were, you know, fighting about a lot of things that most people can’t understand, and there is that aspect of a Warren that is exciting. She has a plan for everything,” Omar boasted.

If your eyes haven’t already rolled back into your head too far to see, then we’d like to note that Omar makes an accidental admission here.
If Warren has a plan for everything as she states, then the man she endorsed for President must be the opposite. And that wide-eyed, unicorns and rainbows thinking of ‘free **** for everybody’ is exactly what she finds appealing.
“Sometimes you have to be reminded about the vision you truly believe in, and where your core values lie,” Omar told Hasan.
“And for me, I know that there are people that have to switch some things around, and there are people that are just easy to believe in. And I was reminded that Bernie is one of the people.”

Omar Loves Omar
This isn’t the first time Omar has gone with the ‘most Americans are too stupid to understand me’ shtick.
This past May, Omar, speaking on the Nation’s ‘Next Left’ podcast, slammed “many parts of the country” that she views as “ignorant” and whom she would like to ‘educate’ and ‘inform.’
“Ignorance really is pervasive in many parts of this country,” she alleged. “As someone who was raised by educators, I’d really like to inform people about things that they might be ignorant to, willingly or unwillingly.”
This is coming from one of the more prominently ignorant members of Congress.
The one who believes 9/11 was carried out by “some people (who) did something.”
The one who believes living life in America “is an everyday assault,” or who laughs when she talks about people who fear al-Qaeda, or compares the American military to terrorist groups.
Aside from thinking she’s intelligent, Omar has also said recently that President Trump and his supporters despise her because they’re racists who can’t accept that she’s “one beautiful package.”
That’s not a very smart assessment.
