Rep. Ilhan Omar, who currently sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, believes American policy needs the “perspective of a foreigner.”
Citing the Green New Deal, which is always a losing prospect when wanting to be taken seriously, Omar said our nation’s foreign policy needs a new approach and a sweeping global agenda.
“When I think about foreign policy, we need something equivalent to the Green New Deal,” the Minnesota Democrat told the Star Tribune.
“It’s important for me to think about what an overhaul of our foreign policy should look like from the standpoint of really thinking how it impacts those around the world,” she added.
As a representative of Congress, Ms. Omar, it’s your job to analyze and determine which foreign policies secure and benefit America first, as well as our allies.
To the contrary, that globalist viewpoint is something Omar wants to institute “as someone who has seen the United States from the perspective of a foreigner.”

Putting the world first and America last is something that was a hallmark of the Obama administration, resulting in Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ election victory in 2016.

Foreigner
It wasn’t too long ago that Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) explained Omar’s foreign credentials. Born in Somalia, she “had to flee the country to escape violence and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before coming to the United States,” he explained.
Clyburn suggested her history – that ‘perspective of a foreigner’ – makes her experiences more “empirical” and “powerful” than those who have parents that survived the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps, and other tragic events in history.
Perhaps that same experience led her to view 9/11 as an event in which “some people did something.”
Is that the kind of perspective America needs on the Foreign Affairs Committee?

Omar has declared that America “is not going to be the country of white people” and currently living in this country as a foreigner “is an everyday assault.”

Omar’s perspective also helps her to assess that “many parts of [America]” are ‘ignorant.’
Not exactly the kind of viewpoint you want from someone representing the best interests of her constituents and the United States.
Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) has stated that Omar’s comments and opinions “have no place in the Foreign Affairs Committee or the House of Representatives.”
