McMaster Tied to Soros-Backed Think Tank, But It Gets Worse!

Earlier this week, there was a White House leak that only could’ve come from someone on President Donald Trump’s National Security Council. The leak revealed that Trump decided against the advice of his aides, and gave a congratulatory phone call to Russian President Vladimir Putin following his election win. His aides urged Trump not to congratulate Putin.

One person that leaker could’ve been was his National Security Adviser, General H.R. McMaster, who Trump just replaced with John Bolton. If Trump axed McMaster over leaks, it wasn’t clear in his tweet announcing the change, where he referred to McMaster as someone who’d “done an outstanding job & will always remain my friend.”

It’s been rumored for weeks that Trump was looking to replace H.R. McMaster, so it could be completely unconnected to the recent leaks. On the other hand, Trump has denied all prior rumors that he wanted to replace McMaster.

It’s also entirely possible that Trump had already planned to replace McMaster – and McMaster was also the leaker. According to Fox News’ Sara Carter, there’s an investigation into the identity of the leaker, who could face criminal charges once unmasked. While it’s anyone’s guess right now, McMaster is a strong possibility.

According to the Daily Caller:

McMaster served for more than a decade as a consultant to the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies, a foreign-based think-tank that has received funding from hostile foreign governments to include Russia and China, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation. The career soldier ended his employment at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in February 2017 after President Donald Trump tapped him to serve as his national security adviser following the resignation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

McMaster never publicized his decade-long outside consultant work with the foreign-based think tank that often supported a globalist agenda opposed by Trump. IISS often espoused foreign and military policies that served as the centerpiece of the Obama presidency, including support for the former president’s Iran nuclear deal.

During McMaster’s time at IISS, the think tank also received $700,000 from George Soros’s Open Society and $140,000 from Ploughshares, the pacifist organization that aggressively pushed for Obama’s Iran nuclear deal.

Had this information been public when Trump was deciding Flynn’s replacement, is there any chance he would’ve hired McMaster? Probably not.

It’s also questionable whether or not the Army would’ve approved of McMaster’s work at IISS, given that their board of directors is filled with people who have ties to the Kremlin, to the Qatari emir who has been accused of supporting terrorists, people associated with the Uranium One scandal, and the Russian investment bank that paid former President Bill Clinton $500,000 for a single speech.

In the meantime though, we’ll have to wait and see if leaks from Trump’s NSC continue.
