All the way back in January, long before we had a one-on-one, seemingly inevitable showdown between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump (sorry Bernie fans), Trump indicated he would go after Hillary for enabling her husband Bill’s past sexual affairs.
“Hillary is an enabler,” Trump said in one instance. In another, he railed that “She’s married to an abuser!”
“If she’s going to play the woman card, it’s all fair game,” he added.
Now that Trump has all but secured the Republican nomination, pundits wondered if he would now pivot to a softer, gentler campaign.
Last night, during an interview with Sean Hannity, we got our answer.
No.
Trump hammered Bill Clinton for his past sexual affairs, even dropping the “R-word” when discussing the serial sexual predator.
Via the Hill:
Donald Trump escalated his attacks on former President Bill Clinton, accusing him of rape in a Fox News interview Wednesday.
In an interview with Fox News’ “Hannity,” Sean Hannity compared allegations of Trump harassing women that appeared in The New York Times with accusations made against the former president.
“For example, I looked at The New York Times,” Hannity said. “Are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick? Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey?” he said, listing women who have made allegations of sexual misconduct against Clinton.
“In one case, it’s about exposure,” he continued. “In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will.”
“And rape,” Trump responded.
“And rape,” Hannity said.
You can watch the interview below …
In 1999, Juanita Broaddrick, a former nursing home employee, accused Clinton of raping her decades earlier when he was a gubernatorial candidate in Arkansas.
Earlier this year, video resurfaced of Hillary in 1998 threatening all of the women who have made accusations against her husband.
“I think we’re going to find some other things,” she said about digging into these women’s pasts. “And I think that when all of this is put into context, and we really look at the people involved here, look at their motivations and look at their backgrounds, look at their past behavior, some folks are going to have a lot to answer for.”
Now that Trump is facing the Clinton machine, perhaps it’ll finally be Bill and Hillary who ‘have a lot to answer for.’
Here’s the latest Bill Clinton needs to answer for – steering $2 million to a company owned by a former mistress …
