Hollywood Liberals Gush Over Vindman Impeachment Hearing: ‘Beautiful Heroic’

A small army of Hollywood liberals praised Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman during his impeachment inquiry testimony to the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday.

‘I have never been more proud to be an American’

“I have never been more proud to be an American. Bravo, Lieutenant Colonel Vindman!” said horror author and known anti-Trumper, Stephen King.

Talk host Chelsea Handler tweeted, “It is amazing and appalling that Republicans are going after veteran military officers. How many people have to come forward for Republicans to stop defending the man who pretended he had bone spurs in favor of all the men and women who actually serve our country every day?”

But Didn’t Vindman Admit Trump Did Not Break the Law Regarding Ukraine?

During the hearing, Vindman said President Trump was “well within his right” to ask Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky over the phone to use his country’s resources to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and son Hunter Biden to see if they had corrupt business dealings.

The Democrats’ entire impeachment case hinges on their argument that the President somehow pressured Ukraine’s President into looking into the Bidens, using U.S. foreign aid as leverage.

But Vindman testified that he couldn’t recall Ukrainian government officials saying they felt  the Trump administration had made any demands in any way to investigate the Bidens.

‘Beautiful heroic’

Despite these contradictions, the Hollywood lefties continues to gush over the witness they considered a hero.

“Beautiful heroic,” tweeted Rosie O’Donnell.

“That’s Trump and his cronies’ modus operandi…” singer and actress Bette Midler tweeted, “smearing the witness, smearing anyone who gets in their way….putting patriots in harm’s way.”

Ron Perlman tweeted, “Uplifting…”

George Takei directed his anger at Congressman Devin Nunes.

“Anyone else disgusted by @DevinNunes and want to see him gone?” Takei tweeted. “Take your anger and do something positive with it. Follow his opponent @PhilArballo2020 on Twitter, and chip in $3 to his election campaign. We the People have the power to change this.”

Mia Farrow quoted Vindman, tweeting, “Lt Col Vindman: ‘this is America. This is the country i have served and defended, all of my brothers have served. And here, right matters.”

Michael Ian Black praised Vindman’s “patriotism.”

None of this is surprising. But how are these same Hollywood liberals going to react if it turns out Vinndman’s testimony wasn’t exactly the slam dunk they appeared to think it was?
