A few weeks ago, certain liberal celebrities and politicians could not mention Jussie Smollett enough on their social media threads.
In the process, celebrities insulted Trump supporters through their social media — while politicians made equally eye-rolling statements.
Rep. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), for instance, called the alleged event a “modern-day lynching.”
When recently confronted about the tweet, she pretended to not know it existed. And now she’s saying more about all of this (see further down in this piece).
But look at the Twitter accounts of liberal celebrities now in the wake of Smollett’s being charged by police with disorderly conduct and filing a false police report — it’s as if the whole thing never happened.
There are no apologies. Nothing. They have simply — and swiftly — moved on.
Hollywood’s few outspoken conservatives, however, have kept Smollett’s feet to the fire.

“#JussieSmollett is a prime example of the chasm between Left and Right. If you challenged the ‘facts,’ you were a ‘racist’ and a ‘homophobe.’ If you blindly believed Jussie, you were righteous and politically correct. #AtWhatCostTruth,” the “Spymaster” author Brad Thor tweeted about the matter.

“Democrats are incoherent. Even when their lie is exposed, they find a way to continue to believe it,” “Gosnell” director and “Justified” star Nick Searcy tweeted in response to an official statement on Jussie Smollett from Rep. Kamala Harris.

“I’m sad, frustrated, and disappointed,” Harris’ response said in part.
She then went on to talk about hate crimes — and how she believes they are on the rise in America.

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Kristy Swanson questioned Smollett’s motive for the alleged crime.
Police say it was because the actor was dissatisfied with his pay on “Empire.”
“I am having a hard time believing that Jussie’s low salary was any motive at all. As an actor, if you don’t like the financial offer that a network presents, you simply just turn it down. Plus the network said this week he was a ‘consummate professional’ — they had no issues on set,” she tweeted.

Two-time Academy Award nominee James Woods blasted Smollett and his legal team for pushing back against the charges from the police.
So after putting the Chicago Police through hell by diverting precious resources from deadly serious REAL crimes, this jagoff is now going to put the courts, the police, and the City of Chicago through yet another self-serving circus. #JussieSmollettHoax https://t.co/6IWpLm52bd

“Again law enforcement doing a great job in catching this racist hate crime. Thank you Chicago PD!” added musician Kaya Jones.
She posted the comment with a video of Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson giving a press conference about the charges against Smollett.
