Hillary Clinton and her top aides just can’t seem to catch a break these days. Information on corruption surrounding the Democrat candidate, her private emails, her foundation, and her associates seems to be breaking on an hourly basis.
Now,m the news got even worse.
CBS News has reported that the FBI found NEW emails related to Hillary Clinton’s tenure at the State Department on a laptop belonging to Huma Abedin’s husband.
The FBI has found emails related to Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state on the laptop belonging to the estranged husband of Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner, according to a U.S. official.
These emails, CBS News’ Andres Triay reports, are not duplicates of emails found on Secretary Clinton’s private server. At this point, however, it remains to be seen whether these emails are significant to the FBI’s investigation into Clinton. It is also not known how many relevant emails there are.
In a letter to Congress last Friday, FBI Director James Comey indicated that the agency was taking steps to review newly discovered emails relating to Clinton’s private email server. Those emails came from the laptop of Weiner, a former New York congressman. Abedin reportedly said she had no knowledge of the existence of any of her emails on Weiner’s laptop. On Monday, CBS News reported that the FBI had obtained a warrant for the emails.
Some may be growing weary of the Clinton email scandal but this is part of the problem – there is so much corruption involving this woman that the daily onslaught of news causes fatigue and complacency in pursuing coverage of the criminality surrounding the possible next president of the United States.
Here’s why this new discovery is significant, however.
This discovery appears to contradict both Abedin’s sworn testimony during a court-ordered deposition and a document she signed attesting under penalty of perjury that she did not retain official records upon leaving the State Department.
Further, it’s another demonstration of how the Clinton campaign is lying and trying to cover up the story, which is something people do when they KNOW they’ve done something wrong.
