Failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is reportedly preparing to launch a new podcast as this year’s presidential race continues to intensify.
Politico reported that Clinton’s podcast is set to be co-produced by audio giant iHeartMedia, and it will launch in the late spring, giving her more than enough time to exert her influence over the election.
Clinton was reportedly partly inspired to launch a podcast after being interviewed with her daughter Chelsea on Conan O’Brien’s audio show, “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend,” back in the fall, when they were promoting their book “The Book of Gutsy Women.”
Clinton was struck by how different her hour-long conversation with O’Brien was in comparison to shorter interviews that she has done, and she believes this format will give her time to have deeper discussions with her guests.
“Conan just exudes enthusiasm about this platform and he does these interviews that are really evergreen and the idea with her, in part inspired by that experience, is to do the same thing,” said a source close to Clinton. “She wants to try to have a wider-ranging conversation that will be lasting, so you can listen to it in a year or you can listen to it tomorrow and it will be interesting. And then of course she’ll do some ranting and raving about news of the day.”

Clinton is undoubtedly hoping to use her show to promote her Democratic presidential candidates of choice and to eventually help them defeat President Donald Trump in November. One Democrat who likely won’t be appearing on the podcast, however, is Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who Clinton made headlines for bashing in her upcoming Hulu documentary “Hillary.”
“He was in Congress for years,” she said of Sanders, according to Fox News. “He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”
Though Clinton had suggested last month that she would not support Sanders if he won the nomination, she has since backtracked on this.
“I thought everyone wanted my authentic, unvarnished views!” Clinton tweeted. “But to be serious, the number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.”

Clinton may think she can use her podcast to take Trump down, but it likely won’t impact him at all, as anyone who would take the time to listen to Clinton rant for an hour or more has probably already made up their minds to vote Democrat. Clinton will end up preaching to the choir, and not reaching any voters who are either pro-Trump or undecided.
At the end of the day, this is a huge waste of time, and will end up just being another failure Clinton can add to her long list of losses.
