Even Uber-Liberal New York City Doesn’t Want Hillary Clinton

How bad do you have to be as a Democrat candidate when even the uber-left nirvana of New York City doesn’t want you to run?

After her disastrous loss to President Donald Trump last November, rumors have swirled that Hillary might try to make a political comeback.

But a new Rasmussen poll delivered some bad news to any political aspirations she may have had, concluding that 58% of New Yorkers don’t want to see her run for mayor of their city. A mere 23% were behind the idea of a run for mayor.

But there’s a glimmer of hope for Hillary yet, as another 19% haven’t made up their mind. Because they apparently have been living under a rock for the last several decades.

If she were somehow able to turn those 19% to her side … Hillary would still be underwater 58-42%.

Cue the sad trombone.

Via the Daily Caller:

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton didn’t perform well in the latest poll in the New York City mayor’s race, according to a new Rasmussen poll released Tuesday.

Fifty-eight percent of likely voters in the city don’t want Clinton to run again, compared to just 23 percent of voters who wanted the former presidential candidate to run. Nineteen percent of voters hadn’t yet made up their mind.

Current Mayor Bill de Blasio is set to run for reelection, but trails Republican challenger Paul Massey, Jr. in terms of fundraising. Massey raised $1.6 million in the race so far, compared to de Blasio’s $1 million.

Clinton expressed interest in the race, but said she would only consider running if de Blasio didn’t enter the race for some reason.

“If de Blasio didn’t enter the race for some reason.”

If I were Bill, I’d be looking over my shoulder a little bit with an ominous statement like that, what with the Clinton’s history.

Having lost the 2016 presidential election because she was a flawed establishment candidate, had little to offer that differed from the previous flawed president, and had a provable history of corruption and telling lies, Clinton probably figured these attributes would make her a shoe-in for mayor of NYC.

Those hopes may have just been shattered like a glass ceil … You know what, nevermind.
