Hillary Appears to Relish the Chance to Go After Trump

Her own husband, Bill Clinton, has been associated with Jeffrey Epstein, a registered sex offender — where is her commentary about that?

She’s quiet for so long.

Then she takes a hard, angry shot at the current resident of the White House — a shot it seems she’s been waiting to take.

Failed presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday ripped into President Donald Trump.

Why?

She criticized a tweet of his in which he called on progressive Democratic congresswomen to go back to the “crime-infested” countries from which they came, fix the problems there — and then come back and “show us how it is done.”

This is all part of a larger and longer spat between Trump and various House Democrats — House Dems who have also been fighting with each other.

And the truth is, most Americans are almost certainly bored with this already — they want these politicians to do the work of the people that they were elected to do.

On Sunday afternoon, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) went after President Trump on Twitter, pushing back against his earlier comments that some unnamed progressive lawmakers should consider “go[ing] back” to their own “corrupt” and “crime-infested” countries of origin — then “come back” to the U.S.A. “and show us how it is done.”

“You can’t leave fast enough,” the commander-in-chief also wrote.

Well, this didn’t sit nicely with the New York firebrand at all — who’s been battling her own House speaker and other far more experienced Democrats in the House — over, among other things, her commentary about southern border conditions, the running of detention facilities there and the situation for unlawful immigrants trying to get into this country illegally.

AOC’s commentary about the president was pretty ugly — and unbecoming, in the eyes of many, for an elected official of this country.

“You are angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us.”

“Mr. President, the country I ‘come from,’ & the country we all swear to, is the United States,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote to Trump. “But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet.”

Ocasio-Cortez also wrote, resorting to an ad hominem attack, “You are angry because you don’t believe in an America where I represent New York 14, where the good people of Minnesota elected @IlhanMN, where @RashidaTlaib fights for Michigan families, where @AyannaPressley champions little girls in Boston. You are angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us. You rely on a frightened America for your plunder. You won’t accept a nation that sees health care as a right or education as a #1 priority, especially where we’re the ones fighting for it. Yet here we are.”

Never mind the Twitter attacks, the ad hominem attacks, the twisted words on Twitter.

Where is the work?

Where is the representation of American citizens?

Where is the care for our country?

Where is the work of the people?

And Hillary Clinton … Oh, Hillary.
