Former Liberal Mayor Gregory Salcido Caught Railing Against Military as ‘Lowest of the Low’

Gregory Salcido

A liberal teacher and former mayor of Pico Rivera, California, was caught on tape issuing a disgusting anti-military rant to his high school class.

Gregory Salcido, who currently serves on the city council, railed against our fighting men and women, saying they were “dumbs***s” and the “lowest of the low.”

“Think about the people you know who are over there [in the military],” he said on the audio recording. “They’re your freaking stupid Uncle Louie or whatever.”

“They’re dumb [expletives]. They’re not high-level bankers, they’re not academic people, they’re not intellectual people,” he said. “They’re the freaking lowest of the low.”

A series of videos were posted to social media, one of which appears below …

The student who recorded Salcido’s ridiculous rant is the son and nephew of military veterans.

“It was so disrespectful to my dad and my uncles and all veterans and those still in the military,” the student said.

Administrators at the high school are now investigating Salcido for his comments and petitions are cropping up calling for his dismissal.

He posted a vague response to the controversy on Facebook, seemingly fixed on his own well-being as opposed to issuing an apology for being ignorant.

Frankly, we find the phrase “dumbs***” more applicable to Salcido, a man who is perpetually being investigated for saying and doing stupid things.

In 2012, he was placed on paid administrative leave after he admitted to “smacking a 15-year-old student upside his head.”

In 2010, he was also placed on leave when he said “Shut up … before I kill you” to a 15-year-old girl in his class. In that case, the father of the student also complained about Salcido’s comments in class about the military.

And also in 2012, Salcido was fined for taking “illegal campaign contributions.” Upon admitting to taking the illegal donations, Salcido, the man who claims military members are dumb, explained it away saying he didn’t know the law on campaign contributions.

“Ignorance of the law is not an excuse,” he said at the time.

What a dumbs***.

It’s clear Salcido has a history of verbally as well as physically abusing students, violating laws to pad his bank accounts, and an anti-military viewpoint that does not belong in the classroom.

He is, without a doubt, the lowest of the low.
