Rep. Frederica Wilson – call your office.
Wilson recently took a private conversation between President Trump and the widow of fallen U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson, a conversation she heard partially and out of context, and turned it into a political football.
Now, another Gold Star mother is speaking out, coming to the defense of the President and reminding everyone of an incident in which former President Barack Obama didn’t always show respect to fallen military members.
Karen Vaughn, mother of Navy Seal Aaron Carson Vaughn who was killed in Afghanistan in August 2011, revealed the story on a podcast with Rose Tennent.
Vaughn commended Trump for his treatment and respect for military families.
On Obama, she ripped him for taking a photo op with the caskets of Navy Seal Team 6, and then walked off the tarmac before the caskets of other soldiers were taken off the plane.
“So the President stuck around for our ceremony and then left before those bodies came off the plane,” she revealed. “And never even went and spoke to those families of the fallen heroes because they weren’t SEAL Team 6 and it would do him no good politically.”
“We found it very offensive that he did take it as a photo op,” Vaughn added.

In 2014, Vaughn and her husband Billy penned an open letter of disgust to President Obama for his lack of leadership in fighting terrorism.
“As Commander-in-Chief, your actions — or lack thereof — Mr. President, cost lives,” they wrote. “As you bumble about in your golf cart, slapping on a happy face and fist-pounding your buddies, your cowardly lack of leadership has left a gaping hole — not only in America’s security — but the security of the entire globe.”
Gold Star mom Karen Vaughn says Obama disrespected her family, but Trump has been “extraordinarily empathetic”. So much for lib lies

They then suggested he resign.
“Your message has come across loud and clear, sir: You are not up to this job,” the Vaughns wrote. You know it. We know it. The world knows it.”
If only he had listened.
