Glenn Beck Accuses Barack Obama Of Being Racist

Glenn Beck Obama

Glenn Beck went on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show this week to officially retract a 2009 apology he issued for calling former president Barack Obama a racist.

Beck Takes Back His Apology To Obama

“Back then, you couldn’t call a president racist,” Beck explained to Carlson, who credited him for having “felt the hostility” that both men believe lurks inside Obama.

“I take my apology back,” Beck explained to Carlson. “I was exactly right, and I even stated it right. You are a racist if you believe in critical race theory.”

“If you think that what Dr. Martin Luther King said, that he envisions a country that is seeing people for the content of their character and not their color, if you if think that’s wrong, then yes, you are a racist,” he continued.

Beck’s Initial Comments Against Obama

While appearing on “Fox & Friends” back in 2009, Beck claimed that Obama had a “deep-seated hatred” for white people and white culture.

“This guy is, I believe, a racist,” Beck said at the time.

Beck backtracked in 2016, saying that he regretted calling the former president racist and that he did a lot of “freaking out” about Obama, according to Yahoo News.

“Obama made me a better man,” Beck The New Yorker. “There are things unique to the African American experience that I cannot relate to. I had to listen to them.”

“I know I wouldn’t believe me if I heard myself apologizing, so I’m telling you now: Don’t take my word for it,” Beck then told the New York Times. “Watch my actions. I don’t care what you think about me. All I care about is saying, Please, don’t make the mistake I made.”

Obama’s New Interview

Beck reportedly changed his mind about Obama once again this week because the former president did an interview with CNN host Anderson Cooper in which he accused the Republican Party of focusing on the wrong issues, specifically on the concerns over critical race theory.

“You would think with all the public policy debates that are taking place right now, the Republican Party would be engaged in a significant debate about how are we going to deal with the economy, what are we going to do about climate change, what are we going to do about — lo and behold, the biggest single most important issue to them apparently right now is critical race theory,” Obama said. “Who knew that was the threat to our republic?”

“There are certain right-wing media venues, for example, that monetize and capitalize on stoking the fear and resentment of a white population that is witnessing a changing America and seeing demographic changes,” he added. “And do everything they can to give people a sense that their way of life is threatened and that people are trying to take advantage of them.”
