Legendary singer Gladys Knight rocked the field at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday night with her moving rendition of the national anthem.

After so much controversy surrounding the anthem in the NFL, Knight allowed for a moment of unity within the sports league.

There were no politics, no missteps.

This was simply a patriotic professional giving it everything she had for everyone who was watching.

Though the game itself earned some backlash for being a bit of a bore and controversy still swirls around whether the Los Angeles Rams should have even been in the Super Bowl, almost everyone seemed to agree that Knight was a marvel to watch.

“Thank you for allowing me this moment to honor our great nation!” the 74-year-old musician tweeted after the event.

“This was the best national anthem at a Super Bowl in a LONG time. Simply beautiful,” one Twitter user wrote in a tweet that was retweeted by musician Joy Villa.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham of “The Ingraham Angle” also praised Knight’s performance.

“Class and enduring talent without gimmicks. Thank you, @MsGladysKnight. The stadium loved you,” she wrote.

Another user said the singer helped “deliver America toward its lost unity” through her performance.

Musician Kaya Jones called Knight the “winner of the night.”

Knight’s performance certainly earned more praise than the halftime performance by Maroon 5.

That show was called the “worst” in the NFL’s history by some fans.
