Liberals have been trying for months to impeach President Donald Trump, so it’s apropos that Fox News Channel will launch “Scandalous,” a seven-part documentary series examining the congressional effort to impeach President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s.

Fox News Channel announced that the series will air at 8 p.m. on Sundays, with the debut episode premiering on Jan. 21. The series will be narrated by actor Bruce McGill, and will feature interviews with more than 45 people involved with the investigation and subsequent impeachment trial, as well as archival footage and never-before-seen photos of the trial.
Just a few of the people involved in the series include former Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, whose infamous Starr Report led directly to Clinton’s impeachment; former United States Senator Joe Lieberman; current Senator Lindsey Graham; Linda Tripp, who secretly recorded her conversations with Monica Lewinsky about Lewinsky’s relationship with Clinton; and Susan McDougal, who served prison time for contempt and fraud related to the Whitewater controversy.
Liberals, unsurprisingly, are mocking the series as a way for Fox News to deflect from coverage of the Robert Mueller-led investigation into Russia’s alleged influence on the 2016 election.

However, the introduction of the series is timely as 2018 marks 20 years since the start of the Clinton impeachment trial.
Fox News reportedly hopes that the program will become a potential franchise that examines other moments in history. Perhaps Benghazi could be next?
