Senator Diane Feinstein, the woman who initiated the entire Kavanaugh accuser spectacle, suddenly wants to see any results from the FBI investigation into alleged sexual misconduct sealed from the public.
The question, of course, is why? Seems like she may be getting out in front of a report that doesn’t exactly reveal the type of information the Democrats had been hoping for.
On Monday, Feinstein issued a letter to the FBI and the White House demanding that details regarding the scope of the investigation be disclosed to the public.
“This needs to be a real investigation and we must get all the facts,” she asserted.
Apparently, those facts aren’t important enough to allow the public to draw their own conclusions. Which is odd, considering they’ve been trying and convicting this man in the public square this entire time, uninterested in facts and ‘real investigations.’
What a difference just a couple of days makes …
.@SenFeinstein indicates that the FBI report on Kavanaugh should NOT be made public: “It would seem to me that if people are going to be identified this ought to be held very close and not.”
“I think the investigation ought to be closely held,” she reiterated.

Is Feinstein concerned that the FBI report will show Kavanaugh is being truthful with his version of events while the accuser is not? Will it reiterate that none of the witnesses offered up by Christine Blasey Ford to confirm her story can do just that? Is she concerned the FBI’s seventh background investigation will conclude what the other six already have – that there is nothing there?
Feinstein’s waffling can only be explained by her political motivations. When she learned of Ford’s accusations through a letter, she kept quiet. When it was clear Kavanaugh was going to be confirmed to the highest court in the land, she leaked the information and forwarded the letter to the FBI, making it public knowledge despite the accuser allegedly requesting anonymity. And now that results clearing President Trump’s nominee would allow a vote to confirm to move forward, she’s back to wanting it kept under wraps.
As transparent as an open window. Does she really think the American people are this stupid?
The audacity of @SenFeinstein to suggest the FBI documents would not be released, after she had the ability to run a confidential investigation two months ago but refused to do so?
It is outrageous.

Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn is confused as to why the FBI report should be sealed.
“I don’t know how you can accuse somebody of the terrible things that Judge Kavanaugh has been accused of and have people satisfied without some sort of summary of what the FBI found,” he said.
Bingo.
Senator Bob Corker, perhaps presciently, noted that the odds are pretty good selective bits of information will be leaked by the Democrats anyway, so why not release the whole report?
“I was talking to another senator today who mentioned that there had been some discussion about releasing them publicly since they’re going to be selectively leaked anyway,” he surmised.

Exactly. Don’t play the Democrats’ little games. Release the report so the public can see exactly what a farce this entire affair has been.
