FBI Found 2,800 Government Documents on Anthony Weiner’s Laptop

The FBI found thousands of government documents on the laptop of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner. The government documents, a portion of which were almost certainly classified, were sent by Hillary Clinton’s top aide and Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin.

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch previously filed a Freedom of Information Act suit seeking emails that Weiner had received from Abedin, and subsequently filed a lawsuit when the State Department refused to respond to the request.

The Department has estimated the 2,800 documents will be released by the end of this year.

The revelation that Abedin had sent government documents to Weiner’s computer came to light just prior to last year’s election, and led to FBI director James Comey reopening Clinton’s classified email investigation.

Comey announced that he had “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation” in the course of an investigation involving Weiner and his sexting relationship with a minor.

Clinton claimed it helped derail her presidential campaign.

Think about that – Government documents were on the laptop of a man who had been sexting an underage girl at the time, something Weiner was just sentenced to 21 months in prison for having done. It opened up the sensitive documents to potential blackmail scenarios.

In 2015, then-candidate Donald Trump called Weiner a “perv,” said he “obviously is psychologically disturbed” and alleged that Abedin was passing sensitive information to him.

As with so many other things, it turns out Trump was right.

“This is a disturbing development,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Our experience with Abedin’s emails suggest these Weiner laptop documents will include classified and other sensitive materials.”

According to an excerpt from Clinton’s election biography ‘What Happened,’ Abedin “burst into tears” when she learned that Weiner’s laptop was discovered to have the government documents.

“This man is going to be the death of me!” she said while “bursting into tears,” Clinton said of Abedin.

“Anthony had already caused so much heartache,” the former Democrat candidate for President lamented. “And now this.”

Fitton addressed the current administration asking, “When will the Justice Department do a serious investigation of Hillary Clinton’s and Huma Abedin’s obvious violations of law?”

That is a good question – When is somebody in Clinton’s circle going to be held accountable for mishandling classified government documents the way others have in the past?

Do you think Abedin or Clinton will ever pay for mishandling classified material? Share your thoughts below!
