Today’s news cycle has revolved completely around the release of the much-anticipated Inspector General report on the FBI’s (mis)conduct during the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices.
By far the biggest revelation from the report has been the complete discrediting of former FBI Director James Comey’s reputation. Comey painted himself as a by-the-book law enforcer, when, in fact, he was lax and slippery when it came to his discretion. We already new Comey’s professionalism was in question thanks to his dubious actions regarding the infamous Trump dossier. But now we have official confirmation that Comey did leave the FBI in disarray during his tenure as director. Check out the rest of the scandals revealed in the IG report:

That’s all terrible. But now we know that the FBI’s animus towards Donald Trump wasn’t just limited to the man. It extended to his supporters as well.
A brief text conversation was picked up between two FBI agents, and it contained some highly disparaging words about backers of the President.
Here’s the damning text via TPI’s resident snarky sleuth, Rusty Weiss:

What an ugly word to call Trump supporters. It just goes to show that anti-Trump bias was in the roots at the FBI.
I know this question gets asked a lot, but consider the alternative: just imagine if FBI agents were caught calling Clinton supporters “retarded.” Imagine the hue and cry. Imagine the calls for firings.
But because it’s Trump supporters being disparaged, little will be said of this. That’s because the media largely shares the opinion of these two FBI officials.
