Chicago Mayor and Barack Obama best friend Rahm Emanuel is not happy that Attorney General Jeff Sessions and President Trump are taking a hard stance against cities that shield illegal aliens from deportation.
Emanuel wants to sue the Trump Administration because he can’t get federal funds until he’s demonstrated that he isn’t protecting illegal aliens from deportation.
I guess Rahm should start thinking about who he works for: the American taxpayer or the illegal aliens. He needs to learn how to stand up for his citizens and get crime under control. I’m tired of hearing about all these babies getting killed in the streets of Chicago. Every day, our future generations are being gunned down. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Chicago is fighting back against the Trump’s administration’s crackdown on “sanctuary cities.” Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Sunday that Chicago is suing the Justice Department over efforts to place new conditions on federal law enforcement grant money as a means to force local authorities to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, the Wall Street Journal reports. “Chicago will not be blackmailed into changing our values, and we are and will remain a welcoming city,” the Democratic mayor said in a statement, warning that Trump’s “latest unlawful misguided action undermines public safety and violates” the Constitution.
“The federal government should be working with cities to provide necessary resources to improve public safety, not concocting new schemes to reduce our crime fighting resources,” the mayor said. The lawsuit focuses on new conditions set for the federal Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, which has paid millions for equipment like Chicago police vehicles and SWAT gear over the years, reports CNN, which outlines the new conditions. The city wants a court to declare those conditions unlawful.

What I love is how the Department of Justice’s spokesman, Devin O’Malley, responded to this empty threat by saying it’s tragic that Emanuel is protecting criminals instead of worrying about the city’s taxpayers and their safety.

Rahm is delusional. Mayors ignoring federal immigration laws and refusing to cooperate with ICE and other law enforcement is criminal conduct. He and those of his ilk need to be arrested and charged. It’s the law.

I live in a sanctuary city ( Baltimore). I won’t stay out after dark. I have a security system because I live on the ground floor. I keep my doors locked at all time. The crime rate here is ridiculous. Shootings all around me. Shootings all around the city. We have prayer walks, and cease fire “requests” and it is still #2 in shooting crimes. I am tires of living like this. It would be so nice to walk the avenue again at night and have an ice cream, Thanks to Obama, we have been INVADED and the left-brained Slow Flakes thinks they are here for a pleasant visit. Our industry is slowly coming back and finally jobs thanks to Trump. I know he can make a difference because we finally have someone who CARES running the White House.Thank you Mr Trump. First off illegals broke the law when they entered into the United States. That itself is a crime and is justification for the federal grants to be pulled. Ask yourself what would happen to you if you entered Mexico illegally? Well ask the Navy Seal that was driving near Mexico and took a wrong turn that put him in Mexico with two licensed guns in his truck. He served 243 days in a Mexican prison (not fun) and Obama did NOTHING to help him out. It took a FOX NEWS ANCHOR and a Senator to get him released. So here we are taking all this crap into America and giving them all this FREE STUFF and welfare and food stamps and WIC and etc. and we are suppose to suck it up and live with it. AH NO!!!! To begin with, Chicago’s clueless Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, deliberately ignores the difference between LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and ILLEGAL ALIENS. I find this offensive as a legal immigrant.
Secondly, his action makes no sense because he is suing the Federal Government because they are fining him for breaking the law.
The federal government has used the technique of requiring states to toe the line they wanted for decades – – just think back when highway funds got tied to speed limits. Still, given the current situation, “shopping” for the right federal court may make this moot. They’ll decide against the law just to keep Obama’s policies in place and deify their god.

Unfortunately, Emanual’s attorneys will just judge shop for an Obama holdover that will vote in favor of Chicago. Then on to a circuit court similar to the 9th with an equal opinion. Sessions will have to take it to the supreme court in order to win which could take weeks. The Obama holdovers are going to fight to the last breath against anything that Trump proposes no matter what it is.
