Judicial Watch has posted documents that prove that the White House and the Department of Justice targeted journalist Sharyl Attkisson in an attempt to silence her reporting on Fast and Furious. She was one of the few reporters working to expose the gun running scandal and her reporting was critical of Attorney General Eric Holder.
“In an email dated October 4, 2011, Attorney General Holder’s top press aide, Tracy Schmaler, called Attkisson “out of control.” Schmaler told White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz that he intended to call CBS news anchor Bob Schieffer to get the network to stop Attkisson.
Schultz replied, “Good. Her piece was really bad for the AG.”
She discussed her book about the government stonewalling her investigative work and these newly released documents which confirm her allegations with with Glenn Beck.
Attkisson claims the government hacked her computer in an attempt to intimidate and silence her. Last month she released a video showing her work being deleted on her computer.
