Elon Musk took to his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday to troll the Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates over his past ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Musk Trolls Gates Over Epstein

Musk took to X to respond after Gates claimed that the Tesla founder was “super mean” to him.

“Someone in an interview should ask – just hypothetically – which island in the Caribbean island is his favorite,” Musk wrote.

Gates’ Ties To Epstein

This was an apparent reference to claims that Gates visited Epstein’s infamous private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands many times over the years, according to Newsweek. While it’s never been confirmed that Gates visited the island, where Epstein allegedly committed many of his sex crimes, it’s known that the two men had dinner together on multiple occasions.

“It was a huge mistake to spend time with him, to give him the credibility of being there,” Gates told CNN in 2021 when asked about his friendship with Epstein.

“I had several dinners with him, you know, hoping that what he said about getting billions of philanthropy for global health through contacts that he had might emerge,” Gates continued. “When it looked like that wasn’t a real thing, that relationship ended.”

Gates refused to comment on rumors that his friendship with Epstein played a role in his 2021 divorce from his wife Melinda, who he was married to for 27 years before they split.

“It’s a time of reflection, and at this point, I need to go forward,” Gates said. “Within the family, we’ll heal the best that we can.”

Epstein allegedly committed suicide in prison in August of 2019 while awaiting trial for various sex crime charges. Many have long believed that he was murdered so that he could not expose the many rich and powerful men that he once rubbed shoulders with.

Gates And Musk Feud

This comes after Gates claimed that Musk was “super mean” to him after he bought a short position on Tesla stock.

“Once he heard I’d shorted the stock, he was super mean to me, but he’s super mean to so many people, so you can’t take it too personally,” Gates said, according to Fox Business.

Musk reported asked Gates via text if he still had a “half billion dollar short position against Tesla.”

“Sorry to say I haven’t closed it yet,” Gates replied in another text. “I would like to discuss philanthropy possibilities.”

Musk responded by saying that he could not take Gates’ philanthropy on climate change “seriously when you have a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change.”

“How can someone say they are passionate about fighting climate change and then do something that reduced the overall investment in the company doing the most? It’s pure hypocrisy,” Musk asked, according to Yahoo News. “Why make money on the failure of a sustainable energy car company?”

Gates said that while he apologized to Musk over the incident, their relationship never improved. Gates later posted a meme mocking Musk over his weight before saying that he was “moving on” from their feud. However, he made a point of also bashing Musk for his escapades in space.

“I’m not a Mars person,” Gates explained. “He’s overboard on Mars. I let him explain his Mars thinking to me, which is kind of bizarre thinking. It’s this crazy thing where maybe there’s a nuclear war on Earth and so the people on Mars are there and they’ll come back down and, you know, be alive after we all kill each other.”

Musk made it clear that he is no fan of Gates either.

“At this point, I am convinced that he is categorically insane (and an a**hole to the core),” Musk said of Gates afterwards. “I did actually want to like him (sigh).”

There is clearly no love lost between these two. While Gates has yet to respond to Musk’s tweet alluding to Epstein, we can’t imagine that he was very happy to have his ties to the late billionaire pedophile brought to the attention of the world once again.
