Senator Dianne Feinstein Pushes Back on Hearing for Kavanaugh Accuser Christine Ford

Something reeks to high heaven about all of this. And the more we deny it, the more Ford, the woman who alleges Brett Kavanaugh violently groped her in high school, is discredited.

Senate Republicans gave into the Democrats by agreeing to hear Ford’s case, which was first leveled in July in a letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein but was only recently brought up. By entertaining her curiously-timed claims, Republicans rewarded Sen. Feinstein for deliberately withholding evidence until a politically opportune time. Now, Republicans have set up a committee hearing to actually hear Ford out. (RELATED: Kavanaugh Accuser Christine Ford Agrees to Republican Wishes – Will Testify Before Senate Judiciary Committee.)

This plays right into the Democrats’ hands. And it just became obvious with the statement Feinstein’s office just released, which gives the entire game away.

This isn’t Feinstein’s first act of trickery. Earlier this week, she refused to attend a phone call with Kavanaugh that was held by members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. (RELATED: Senator Dianne Feinstein Won’t Set Up Call for Kavanaugh Accuser to Testify.) That was the first sign that Democrats aren’t actually serious about hearing from Ford.

Now Feinstein has made it abundantly clear that she has no intention of participating in the Senate-led investigation to find out exactly what happened between Ford and Kavanaugh all those years ago. Check out this statement:

Let’s say it right off the bat: Feinstein is deliberately lying here. The FBI has already concluded that it won’t be investigating the matter because it doesn’t fall within their purview:

So Feinstein is making an impossible demand that won’t be met. And she’s using it as an excuse to not participate in the very investigation that she demanded by sitting on Ford’s accusation letter for so long.

If Sen. Feinstein truly cared about getting justice for Ford, she would have come out sooner. Now that she has, she isn’t willing to even participate in an investigation led by her colleagues.

This isn’t just suspicious, it’s sinister. Feinstein says she doesn’t want to rush the process. I’m sorry, but giving the accuser nearly a week to come to Washington to make her case isn’t rushing anything. There is no rush involved.

Feinstein says she wants more information to be gathered. What the hell does she think the hearing with Ford and Kavanaugh will be? Surely, she must know it will be used to gather information.

Everything in Feinstein’s statement shows that she isn’t serious about Ford and her allegation. This farce needs to end immediately.
