Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen can’t even have as much as a meal at peace without harassment.
Last night Nielsen was seated at MCDC Cocina Mexicana restaurant in D.C., a few blocks from the White House. She was recognized, and a member of a local Democratic Socialists (DSA) group tweeted out Nielsen’s location. (RELATED: DHS Secretary Hammers Misinformed Liberals Over Family Border Policy).

And immediately, a hoard of unemployed know-nothings descended on the restaurant to taunt and harass Nielsen. The DSA uploaded the encounter onto Facebook, with the following description: “We’re in downtown DC disrupting DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s dinner at MXDC. The irony isn’t lost on us that this is a Mexican restaurant. Nielsen has led the program to tear apart familes [sic]. We are here to tell her to put an end to separating families, to step down as head of the department, and that ICE and CBP must be abolished #abolishICE#abolishCBP.”
“Can you enjoy a Mexican dinner as you’re deporting … tens of thousands of people who come here seeking asylum in the United States” one protester is heard saying. They also chanted “abolish ICE” and “shame, shame, shame!!” in unison. I’m not sure if they’re taking the latter chant out of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” but if that’s the case, the protestors should be reminded that it’s the bad guys in the show that make that chant.
They also chanted, nonsensically, “if kids don’t eat in peace, you don’t eat in peace!”
Predictably, a hoard of Leftist lunatics supported the targeted harassment. CNN’s Ana Navarro voiced the opinion that people apparently should only eat at restaurants you share an ethnicity with.

Kristjen Nielsen is a lying gash that should be put in a cage and poked at by passersby. The gash should be pilloried in Lafayette Square naked and whipped by passersby while being filmed for posterity.

You gotta hand it to the DSA, Democratic Socialists of America. They're the ones occupying and shutting down the ICE office in Portland. They're the ones who protested Kirstjen Nielsen in the restaurant. They're the ones out there fighting back.

Regardless of whether or not you support Nielsen, she should be allowed to eat a meal in peace without being harassed by Socialist protesters. Imagine if Republican protesters showed up at a restaurant where Obama’s DHS Secretary, Jeh Johnson, was eating. The left would be outraged at such an invasion of privacy, but because Nielsen is a Republican, Democrats will undoubtedly remain silent.
