Rep. Devin Nunes embarrassed House Democrats during his opening statement at Wednesday morning’s impeachment hearings, claiming they are the “last people on Earth with the credibility” to make accusations against their political opponents.
Nunes’ (R-CA) barbs were directed at Democrats as a whole, while also specifically targetting House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff.
After referring to the Russia collusion hoax as a “pitiful … three-year-long operation by the Democrats, the corrupt media, and partisan bureaucrats to overturn the results of the 2016 presidential election,” Nunes suggested that the latest whistleblower hearings were nothing more than a sequel.
“After the spectacular implosion of their Russia hoax on July 24, in which they spent years denouncing any Republican who ever shook hands with a Russian, on July 25 they turned on a dime and now claim the real malfeasance is Republicans’ dealings with Ukraine,” he stewed.

Nunes Slams Their Lack of Credibility
Nunes’ opening statement also reminded the American people that Schiff has been guilty of embellishing proof of impeachable offenses by President Trump in the past.
In the midst of the Russia hoax, Schiff had long held the position that phone calls made by Donald Trump Jr. to blocked numbers were actually with the President, discussing a meeting seeking dirt from the Russians on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign.
His false claims were eventually debunked.

Schiff also consistently told his friends in the media that there was “ample evidence of collusion in plain sight,” despite the Mueller report completely exonerating President Trump of any such claims.
“We should forget about them leaking a false story to CNN while he was still testifying to our committee claiming that Donald Trump Jr. was colluding with WikiLeaks,” Nunes railed, “and forget about countless other deceptions, large and small that make them the last people on Earth with the credibility to hurl more preposterous accusations at their political opponents?”

Nunes Continues to Own Schiff
At the onset of the whistleblower hearings conducted by Democrats hell-bent on ousting President Trump, Nunes has consistently embarrassed Schiff.
During his opening statements at a hearing in September, Nunes referenced an incident in which the California Democrat was caught on tape trying to secure naked photos of President Trump.
“Democrats on this very committee negotiated with people who they thought were Ukrainians in order to obtain nude pictures of Trump,” he revealed,” the Republican congressman said.
Comedian Bill Maher has suggested that Schiff, in continuing to pursue ridiculous claims of impeachable offenses, is practically stalking President Trump.
“This was our big gun,” Maher told Schiff after the Mueller report put a damper on the Russia hoax. “Now it just looks like you’re stalking him.”
The stalking continues to this very day. Schiff and the Democrats, as Nunes points out, have absolutely no credibility left in their arsenal.
“Anyone familiar with the Democrat’s scorched Earth war against President Trump would not be surprised to see all the typical signs that this is a carefully orchestrated media smear campaign,” Nunes added.
