Rep. Devin Nunes eviscerated House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, suggesting his lying has become so prevalent that he might be in need of rehabilitation.
Nunes’ jab came in the form of a letter issued on Sunday, responding to Schiff’s statement defending the FBI’s actions following a scathing Inspector General report.
That report found numerous “significant inaccuracies and omissions” in the FBI’s handling of FISA applications used to surveil former Trump campaign aide, Carter Page.
“After publishing false conclusions of such enormity on a topic directly within this committee’s oversight responsibilities, it is clear you are in need of rehabilitation,” Nunes wrote, “and I hope this letter will serve as the first step in that vital process.”

Report Not Only Hammers the FBI But Proves Schiff Is, In Fact, a Liar
The IG report wasn’t just an indictment on the incompetence and blatant bias of the James Comey-led FBI, but it thoroughly debunked a memo penned by Schiff in 2018.
Schiff had claimed at the time that his memo would “help inform the public of the many distortions and inaccuracies” when it came to Republican claims of FISA abuse.

Instead, the IG report revealed that Schiff had – point by point – fabricated information, including claims that the FBI and DOJ officials did not omit information from the FISA warrant and that the DOJ had provided evidence that backed up the Steele dossier.
Neither of those things were true.
“As you know, your misguided validation of the FISA warrant was part of a years-long pattern in which you touted Christopher Steele’s credentials and reliability,” Nunes slammed.

The Nunes-Schiff Feud Has Been a One-Sided Affair
Throughout the impeachment process, Devin Nunes has run circles around Schiff, embarrassing him at nearly every turn.
At the initial whistleblower hearing, Nunes brought up the fact that the House Intelligence Committee Chair was caught on tape trying to secure naked photos of President Trump.
That’s not a joke. The media may not have covered it, but we certainly have here at The Political Insider.
“Democrats on this very committee negotiated with people who they thought were Ukrainians in order to obtain nude pictures of Trump,” Nunes announced.

The Republican congressman slammed Schiff and the Democrats in yet another opening statement in November saying they are the “last people on Earth with the credibility” to make accusations against their political opponents.
Nunes is correct. Schiff and the Democrats have absolutely no credibility left in their arsenal after this impeachment sham. The American people must remember this at the ballot box.
