Rep. Ayanna Pressley is introducing a resolution calling for a formal impeachment inquiry against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The inquiry is based on a New York Times ‘bombshell’ report over the weekend that Kavanaugh had allegedly engaged in an outrageous act of sexual misconduct.

But the Times was forced to correct the original column, adding an editor’s note indicating the purported victim “declined to be interviewed” and “does not recall the incident.”

They’ve been reeling from criticism across the political spectrum ever since. That isn’t about to stop Pressley (D-MA) from pursuing a completely frivolous inquiry, however.

“I believe Christine Blasey Ford. I believe Deborah Ramirez,” said Pressley of two accusers who have provably lied about their stories. “It is our responsibility to collectively affirm the dignity and humanity of survivors.”

No, it’s your responsibility to at least try to have a grasp of facts and reality, an attribute you are clearly lacking.

While her Democrat colleagues predictably called for impeachment within moments of the New York Times hoax being published, it takes a true Squad member to keep pushing for it even after the facts have come out.

“Sexual predators do not deserve a seat on the nation’s highest court and Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process set a dangerous precedent,” Pressley’s said in a statement, opening herself up for a libel lawsuit. “We must demand justice for survivors and hold Kavanaugh accountable for his actions.”

Fellow Squad member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also continued pushing for impeachment after the Times report was proven to be a bust.

Facts clearly don’t matter to a pair of socialists whose combined intelligence quotient would barely register in triple digits.

Even the super-unhinged Democrat Dick Durbin told Squad members and others pushing for Kavanaugh’s impeachment to “get real.”

“We’ve got to get beyond this ‘impeachment is the answer to every problem.’ It’s not realistic,” Durbin said. “If that’s how we are identified in Congress, as the impeachment Congress, we run the risk that people will feel we’re ignoring the issues that mean a lot to them as families.”

Unfortunately, Dick, you’re dealing with a party being led off an impeachment obsessed cliff by a handful of mindless liberals seeking nothing more than attention on social media.

Facts be damned.
