DeSantis Demands Accountability Amid Reports Linking Fauci To ‘Cruel’ Dog Experiments And ‘Dangerous’ Wuhan Research

DeSantis Slams Fauci For Alleged ‘Cruel Experiments On Puppies’

On Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis called for director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, to be held accountable for his reported links to ‘cruel experiments on puppies’ as well as ‘dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan’.

DeSantis directed his comments at Fauci during a press conference where he talked about new revelations on gain-of-function research allegedly being conducted in the Wuhan Institute of Virology and linked to Fauci.

The below clip from DeSantis’ Monday speech begins, “You can’t have mad scientists running around playing God like this.”

DeSantis: ‘I cannot believe American tax dollars would go to treat those dogs the way those dogs are being treated…I really think Fauci needs to be held accountable’

Fox News reported on Sunday, “A report from the White Coat Waste Project that was based off a Freedom of Information Act request with the National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Disease found that more than $400,000 in taxpayer money was spent on canine experiments during which beagles were infected with parasites via biting flies.”

Since the damning report broke, a disturbing photograph of dogs with their heads in boxes has been making the rounds. Once Americans caught onto the troubling allegations, #ArrestFauci quickly began to trend on Twitter.

After DeSantis’ ‘mad scientists’ remark, the governor then directed his attention to Fauci and the White Coat Waste Project report.

“What else is Fauci and NIH doing?” DeSantis said. “They’re doing cruel experiments on puppies.”

“What they were doing with those puppies, is flat-out disgusting.” DeSantis said. “It’s despicable, that needs to stop. I cannot believe American tax dollars would go to treat those dogs the way those dogs are being treated.”

“And, you know, I really think Fauci needs to be held accountable,” DeSantis insisted.

“These people, these bureaucrats, they don’t get to just run wild and do whatever the hell they want to with our tax dollars,” DeSantis continued.

DeSantis: ‘NIH not only funded dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan, but it also funded cruel experiments on puppies. Where is the accountability?’

Governor DeSantis wasn’t done there. He wants accountability.

DeSantis concluded, “And so from funding gain of function research, to treating these puppies with really unimaginable cruelty, I think that whole lot of them need to be cleaned out and we need to be standing up for the American taxpayer and doing things ethically and not doing things like gain of function research and certainly not abusing puppies.”

After the press conference on Monday, DeSantis tweeted out a video clip of his remarks with the caption: “NIH not only funded dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan, but it also funded cruel experiments on puppies. Where is the accountability?”

Given the resounding public outcry over this latest White Coat Waste Project report, it’s unlikely officials will be away to sweep this one under the rug without further investigation.
