Democrat Rep. Emanuel Cleaver was mocked on social media after ending an opening prayer for the 117th Congress by saying “Amen and Awoman.”
The prayer was led by Cleaver, who also serves as a United Methodist pastor in a church located in Kansas City, Missouri.
The lawmaker tweeted that he “was honored to deliver the opening prayer for the 117th Congress,” adding “May God bless each and every Representative with the courage and wisdom to defend our democracy and the liberties we all hold so dearly.”
But Cleaver was clearly not blessed with wisdom, as a video posted online shows him praying to “The God known by many names and faith,” before concluding, “Amen and Awoman.”
Dems open congress with a prayer that ends “amen and awoman.” Amen is a Latin word that means “truly” or “so be it.” Awoman is a nonsense word that means nothing. Dems find a way to make everything stupid and nonsensical. Utter clowns, all of them.

Dem Rep Emanuel Cleaver Mocked For Ending Prayer With Awoman
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver was almost immediately mocked across social media for trying to make a woke genderized statement during his prayer.
Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) took to Twitter to note that the word ‘amen’ is “Latin for ‘so be it.’”
“It’s not a gendered word,” he added. “Unfortunately, facts are irrelevant to progressives. Unbelievable.”

Others weren’t nearly as kind to Cleaver.
Comedian Larry the Cable Guy chimed in, explaining that the term has nothing to do with gender and suggesting “these people are complete idiots.”
Congress today did a prayer and finished it with “amen” AND “a woman” to be gender equal. Are they really that dumb. Amen is Latin/Hebrew for “Truly” or “So be it”? It has nothing to do with Gender. These people are complete idiots. Ex: “God is great.” “Amen” (truly) duh!

Political commentator Liz Wheeler wrote, “This can’t be real, right? Nobody is actually THAT STUPID?!”
Think again, Ms. Wheeler.
The prayer to open the 117th Congress concluded, “Amen & Awoman.”
This can’t be real, right? Nobody is actually THAT STUPID?!

“I guess the virtue-signaling Democrats didn’t check the Hebrew etymology of the word “Amen” to realize it has NOTHING to do with gender,” Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert (R-CO) added.
The Stupid Is Rampant
This is the second time in just days that Democrats were widely ridiculed for turning the basic science of gender into some sort of political statement to pander to low-information voters.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently proposed to eliminate gendered language from the official House rules, stating only gender-neutral terms such as “parent,” “child,” “sibling” and “parent’s sibling” would be allowed.

Words such as “mother” and “grandmother” would be banned from the House rules, words Pelosi actually still has in her Twitter bio.
???@SpeakerPelosi still has “mother” & “grandmother” in her Twitter bio.
And @JoeBiden has “husband,” “father,” & “grandfather” in his.
When will they stop using such “gendered terms”?? https://t.co/kpReKj0IBO

We truly are living in the dumbest of times.
