It wouldn’t be a Hollywood awards show without a liberal political tirade!
At the 2017 Tony Awards Sunday night, actress Cynthia Nixon couldn’t help but give a shout out to the anti-Trump resistance during her acceptance speech for Best Featured Actress:
After being announced as the winner for best featured actress in a play at the Tony Awards on Sunday night, Actress Cynthia Nixon took that opportunity to slam President Trump in her acceptance speech without even saying his name.
A vocal Trump-hater, Nixon compared the story of “The Little Foxes”, which is about a family trying to get rich, to the Trump family, stating, “Eighty years ago [the author of the play] wrote, ‘there are people who eat the earth and eat all the people on it and other people who just stand around and watch them do it,’” said Nixon.

Despite being written in 1939, Nixon called the plot to “The Little Foxes” “eerily prescient” and added, “My love, my gratitude and my undying respect go out to all the people in 2017 who are refusing to just stand and watch them do it.”
But what people like Nixon keep failing to understand is that no one outside of their liberal elitist Hollywood bubble care what they have to say:

This idiotic play was written by card-carrying Stalinist Lillian Hellman. Long term adulterous relationship with fellow Stalinist, Dashiell Hammett.
The play has always been wildly critically acclaimed for no apparent reason other than its Marxist subtheme. Tallulah Bankhead was the original star of the play. She attempted to produce a benefit performance to provide relief for Finnish Refugees during the Soviet Winter War on that small country. Hellman, as any good Stalinist, opposed the relief effort.
This war incidentally followed closely on the heels of the infamous Molotov-Ribbentrop accord and the partition of Poland. Hellman supported both. The Finns whipped the Soviets’ @$$e$ repeatedly, but ceded to occupation through sheer force of numbers. What dead and staving Finns in the balance of history, when the revolution must be advanced.

I never watched the show, but I remember that she was on Sex and the City and it turned out she was gay. It caused a bit of a stir at the time. She is just another liberal who wants the world to conform to her outrageous demands to give the country away to the illegals and muslims. I’ve never heard of her and didn’t watch the awards where they all stand around patting each other on the back for being such great entertainers. The only real measure of success is how well their films draw in viewers and there’s always someone else to replace them when they get to full of themselves.
