Donald Trump Jr.’s birthday isn’t until the end of December, but that didn’t stop some friends from helping him celebrate with an Obama cake.
Pictures of the gag gift were posted to social media by the President’s eldest son. One even included Trump Jr. and Senator Ted Cruz posing together.
“With friends like these… some good friends decided that while my birthday is not for 2 weeks that they would get me an early 40th birthday cake,” Trump Jr. wrote. “And what birthday is complete without an Obama cake? I figured it was so good that I would have to share it with Ted.”
Naturally, the left couldn’t handle the overload of Obama-mocking imagery. Cruz. Trump Jr. A horrible Obama likeness. Their brains practically imploded.
You know @tedcruz is a uuuuge racist because he’s posing with Trumpy “if I only had more than a lone brain cell” Junior and this deeply racist picture of Obama. I am so beyond disgusted. You are both appalling. pic.twitter.com/nEP0B7T6Xr

They even went so far as to call the cookie … wait for it …
Racist!
It’s hard to have to acknowledge that racists are in the highest echelons of our government. This is completely… https://t.co/5MN6DV9eKd

Nobody was put out more than the owner of the Dallas restaurant where the picture was taken, Le Bilboquet.
“We at Le Bilboquet feel betrayed and sad,” Stephan Courseau wrote. “Restaurant business is about creating a hospitable environment for all, a non-partisan, non-politicized, nondiscriminatory and respectful environment. The fact that guests decided to use our restaurant as a platform to promote, disrespect, and spread hatred goes against everything we stand for.”
‘Betrayed and sad.’
Trump Jr. could have avoided all the controversy by claiming it was simply a gay wedding cake. Problem solved.
