The White House’s favorite doormat, CNN reporter Jim Acosta, got leveled once again, this time by President Trump himself who gave him a new nickname and a backhanded compliment.
It was a thing of beauty.
Acosta, long one of the Clinton News Network’s biggest purveyors of news with a consistent liberal slant, woke up to a social media beatdown earlier today.
“Even Crazy Jim Acosta of Fake News CNN agrees,” the President wrote. “Trump World and WH sources dancing in end zone: Trump wins again…Schumer and Dems caved…gambled and lost.”
“Thank you for your honesty Jim!” he added, taking a victory lap on the Democrats’ epic cave in on the government shutdown.

Of course, it’s less honesty than it is whining that Acosta’s liberal friends didn’t do more to embarrass President Trump.
Trump bragged about the Republican victory in the shutdown struggle in an earlier tweet saying it was “a big win for Republicans” due to the “Democrat cave.”
Big win for Republicans as Democrats cave on Shutdown. Now I want a big win for everyone, including Republicans, Democrats and DACA, but especially for our Great Military and Border Security. Should be able to get there. See you at the negotiating table!

Even Acosta is incapable of spinning the shutdown showdown as anything but a brutal defeat for the Democrats.
This should make him happy since Acosta likes to make everything about him. A consistent whiner saying, ‘look at me, look at me.’
He’s actually under the misguided notion that the White House fears him, unaware that they only fear incompetent, irresponsible journalism, a staple at CNN.

President Trump’s feud with Acosta really took off this past summer. when he dismissed the reporter as “fake news” at a press conference.
After answering a couple of questions from Acosta, Trump grew agitated as he continued to press for more comments.
“I like real news, not fake news,” Trump shot back. “You’re fake news.”
And thus, a narrative was born. And it’s sticking because well, CNN consistently engages in fake news.

Just last week, the President dismissed Acosta and CNN by telling them to get “out” at the end of a press conference with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
