Don’t mess with Texas.
At least that’s the message being delivered by American country singer Larry Gatlin.
Gatlin responded to Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings’ recent rant in which he called Texas “a crazy state,” by writing a song in which he tells the Democrat he’d like to “open up a Cowboy boot shop in your behind.”

To their credit as well, all 25 Texas House Republicans demanded an apology from Hastings.
Texas Republican Michael Burgess said, “That’s a very defamatory statement about my state, and I will not stand here and listen to it.” Lawmakers also issued an official joint statement to Hastings: “Don’t mess with Texas.
