After campaigning for local Democrats in the recent November midterms, disgraced former FBI Director James Comey is coming out swinging against President Donald Trump stronger than ever, urging Americans to vote against Trump in 2020.
Comey comes out more partisan than ever
According to the Daily Mail, Comey “told an audience in New York last night that the Democrats ‘have to win.’ He told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace: ‘All of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021.’ Comey said the Democrats have to choose a leader capable of beating Trump. ‘I understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be,’ he said. ‘But they have to win. They have to win.'”
Comey said that he didn’t want Trump to be impeached because it would “let the country of the hook,” whatever that means. It wasn’t only Trump that Comey discussed defeating in 2020, stating that his preference would be a Democrat landslide to “rid ourselves of this attack on our values.”
Watch below:
JUST IN: Comey says he won’t run for president. @NicolleDWallace: Would you ever run [for president]?
James Comey: No.
Wallace: Have you ever thought about it?@Comey: “I’ve thought about it enough to know that I’m never going to run for office.” pic.twitter.com/AEpyUoz23W— Kasie DC (@KasieDC) December 10, 2018
Was Comey a Democrat all along?
James Comey was a Republican when he held the FBI Director position, but quickly became an independent afterward. While I’d imagine most individual political transformations are gradual, changing on one issue at a time, Comey’s complete 180 the second Donald Trump was elected calls into question how much of a Republican he was in the first place.
Comey’s “never Trump” comments come after he testified before closed doors last week to House Republicans in response to a subpoena. The questioning centered mainly on the FBI’s Russia probe, and sought to get answers about questions regarding the anti-Trump dossier and surveilling of the Trump campaign, among other issues.
Throughout his testimony (which can be read in full *here*), Comey said the words “I don’t recall,” “I don’t remember,” or “I don’t know,” 245 times. By Comey’s own admission, he remembers nothing, knew nothing, saw nothing, and did nothing. If that’s the case, it’s a good thing he’s fired. (Of course, it’s much more likely that Comey is simply playing dumb with selective amnesia).
And inevitably, President Trump weighed in on the testimony, which he sees as further vindication that there’s a witch hunt against him. I tend to agree – since if there truly was evidence of collusion, we would’ve learned of it long ago.
Leakin’ James Comey must have set a record for who lied the most to Congress in one day. His Friday testimony was so untruthful! This whole deal is a Rigged Fraud headed up by dishonest people who would do anything so that I could not become President. They are now exposed!

“Democrats can’t find a Smocking Gun tying the Trump campaign to Russia after James Comey’s testimony. No Smocking Gun…No Collusion.” @FoxNews That’s because there was NO COLLUSION. So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution,…

If there’s someone that’s going to defeat Donald Trump in 2020, it certainly isn’t going to be James Comey. After all, he couldn’t even prevent Trump from winning in 2016.
