Not long after President Donald Trump began his Tuesday campaign rally in Orlando to herald the beginning of his presidential campaign, the audience began chanting “CNN sucks.”
This is not the first time this has happened at a Trump rally.
CNN had chosen to air the event Tuesday, but as soon as the chants began, they cut away.
“This was a defining moment in America history,” Trump said referring to his first campaign announcement in 2015. “Ask them right there,” the president said, pointing at the media attending the rally.
That’s when the crowd began chanting.
“All right. We’ve been watching the president kick off his reelection bid. He’s been on stage for about six minutes. Within two minutes he did talk about the economy, within four minutes it was attacks on the media,” CNN host John Berman said.
Some wondered why CNN was even airing the rally.
“Why is CNN televising a Trump campaign rally? This is a multi-million dollar contribution to his re-election campaign,” tweeted MSNBC political analyst Richard Stengel.

MSNBC did not air the speech. But to answer Stengel’s question–maybe they are airing it because he is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
Some conservative outlets took advantage of CNN’s decision.
“Hey CNN viewers,” tweeted One America News Network’s Liz Wheeler, “We’re airing the whole Trump rally… because we’re not afraid of you hearing the truth.”

Deputy Editor of the UK Guardian, Paul Harris wrote, “I think its a mistake of CNN and MSNBC not to broadcast Trump’s campaign kick off rally.”
Harris is, of course, correct. Talk about media bias. He’s THE PRESIDENT!

Stelter accidentally admits CNN is fake news
CNN’s Brian Stelter seemingly unintentionally pointed out that Trump was right about CNN being “fake news.”
“After a ‘CNN sucks’ chant break out at Trump’s re-election event, Trump says ‘that is a LOT of fake news back there,” Stelter tweeted. “CNN aired the first 6 minutes, then cut away for analysis. John Berman pointed out that Trump reverted to his usual lines.”

If the president is calling a cable outlet “fake news,” and said outlet cuts away from his speech at precisely the moment Trump’s supporters start insulting it–aren’t they no longer in the business of reporting? Was their ego hurt?
Isn’t that indeed FAKE NEWS?
