The Christian Hollywood stars Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg are being attacked by the rock star Jack White for “normalizing” the former President Donald Trump by meeting with him publicly.

White Sounds Off

Variety reported that Gibson and Wahlberg were each photographed with Trump over the weekend at a UFC 290 event in Las Vegas, as were the comedian Joe Rogan and restauranteur Guy Fieri. This was enough to trigger White, who shared the photos to his Instagram page and threw a tantrum in the caption.

“Anybody who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of shit Trump with any level of respect is ALSO disgusting in my book,” White wrote in his post. “That’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Fieri. This is a statement from me, not a discussion/debate. -Jack White III.”

White’s Previous Anti-Trump Meltdown

This is far from the first time that White has used social media to attack Trump and those who support him. Back in November, White dramatically announced that he was quitting Twitter over Elon Musk reinstating Trump’s account.

“So you gave Trump his Twitter platform back. Absolutely disgusting, Elon,” White said at the time. “That is officially an a**hole move. Why don’t you be truthful? Tell it like it is”

“People like you and Joe Rogan (who gives platforms to liars like Alex Jones etc.); you come into a ton of money, see the tax bill, despise paying your fair share, and then think moving to Texas and supporting whatever Republican you can is going to help you keep more of your money (How else could Trump possibly interest you?),” he added.

Wahlberg And Gibson Haven’t Condemned Trump

Wahlberg and Gibson are two of the only stars in Hollywood who have declined to completely turn their backs on Trump publicly. In a 2016 interview, Wahlberg talked about meeting Trump for the first time years before when they played golf together.

“He was very Donald Trump-like, talking about the things that he does, things that he has, business interests, properties, stuff like that,” Wahlberg told The Guardian of his first meeting with Trump. “But he wasn’t ever mean or rude. I don’t think he asked me too many personal questions, or about what I do.”

Later that same year, Wahlberg chastised his fellow celebrities for lecturing Americans about politics.

“A lot of celebrities did, do, and shouldn’t,” Wahlberg told Task And Purpose. “You know, it just goes to show you that people aren’t listening to that anyway.”

After Trump won the 2016 election, Wahlberg was one of the only celebrities to say that he was “optimistic” about his presidency.

“Being the positive person that I am, I have to hope so,” Wahlberg told E! News at the time. “I have to remain optimistic that the future will get better.”

Gibson Salutes Trump

While Gibson has not spoken out publicly about Trump, he was caught on camera saluting the former president at a UFC match back in 2021, according to The New York Post.

Liberal elites like White can’t stand it that there are actually some celebrities out there who are not afraid to think for themselves when it comes to politics. Supporting Trump in even the smallest of ways can be a career-killer in the radically leftwing world of Hollywood, so we applaud Wahlberg and Gibson for taking that risk by interacting with the former president in public.

If only there were more celebrities out there who had the guts to do the same!
