Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we are officially heading into the Christmas season, and Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating by making some faith-based content for her home network Great American Family,

Cameron Bure’s Goal

“I think we want to create an oasis in a cultural desert,” Cameron Bure, 47, told Fox News in an interview with Great American Family CEO Bill Abbot, who was quick to agree.

“I think that the culture overall needs it,” he said. “And there is just so little content out there that serves family and faith and is done in a quality way. And so that is a very big part of what our mission is and what we do, and the demand is huge.”

Cameron Bure’s latest movie, “My Christmas Hero,” premieres tonight, and it features her portraying an Army reserve doctor “who’s on a mission to honor a fallen soldier.”

“They really are appreciative that we honor faith, family and country and that we are pro-country and we love America and we’re grateful for their service,” she explained. “So I know it means a lot to them that we honor them and we want to in really big ways because we know that we wouldn’t be here in peace without them. So this is just a small gesture of appreciation on our end.”

Cameron Bure Hosts Screening At Military Base

Earlier this month, Cameron Bure and Abbott hosted a private screening of the movie at the Joint Army and Air Force Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington state, where the film is set.

“It’s a joy to be here,” Cameron Bure said. “We’ve met many people, [with] huge smiles on their faces, which are bringing us so much joy. But I know that they’re really happy that we’re here. And it’s a place where their whole family can come to watch the movie tonight. And that’s special for us because that’s who our movies are for, the whole family together.”

“What comes across for me is the dedication that these military members have [shown],” added Abbott. “It’s remarkable how the service of the country is so passionate and so authentic and such a part of their DNA. And we feel very, very blessed to have people like that protecting the country. And our network is all about celebrating faith, family and country. And so it’s a privilege to be here.”

Cameron Bure’s ‘Traditional Marriage’ Controversy

Last year, Cameron Bure found herself being targeted by cancel culture after saying that she wants to focus on content that promotes “traditional marriage” during her time with Great American Family.

“My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them,” Cameron Bure told WSJ. Magazine. “I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”

“I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,” she added at the time, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Despite being targeted by the liberal mob for these remarks, Cameron Bure has refused to back down and has instead continued to focus on projects that promote faith and family. God bless Candace Cameron Bure, and please be sure to check out her new movie tonight!
