Bitter Stacey Abrams Still Claims She Won Election That She Lost by Nearly 55,000 Votes

Democrat Stacey Abrams claimed she won the race for governor in Georgia last year, despite election results showing she was soundly defeated by nearly 55,000 votes.

Abrams continued unwillingness to accept the election results is making Hillary Clinton seem gracious by comparison, and in the former First Lady’s own words is “a direct threat to our democracy.”

While her past statements on losing to Republican Brian Kemp have mostly focused on her ‘not losing’ the election, this is perhaps the first outright claim to having flat-out won.

“We had this little election back in 2018,” Abrams said before a crowd at the National Action Network. “And despite the final tally and the inauguration and the situation we find ourselves in, I do have a very affirmative statement to make.”

“We won,” she said, despite losing by 54,723 votes, despite not occupying the Georgia governor’s mansion, and despite what reality has dictated.

She’s Oppressed

Abrams, continuing to play the role of grievance-monger like a champ, said the final vote tally was skewed due to “voter suppression” and a system “designed to oppress you.”

“Remember I told you about my opponent?” Abrams stated. “You see not only was he the Secretary of state he was also the architect of voter suppression.”

Voter suppression is code for making people prove they are who they are to protect the integrity of elections, something Democrats strongly oppose.

“We can work as hard as we want, we can fight rights, but if you’re fighting against the system that is designed to oppress you, sometimes you got to fight a little bit longer than you think,” she said.

Always the victim. It might as well be the next Democrat nominee’s – which incidentally could be Abrams – slogan for 2020.

Alternate Reality

Abrams not only lies with impunity, but she also seems to have a general misunderstanding of reality. She didn’t win the election, yet she continually pretends she did.

Last month, she was asked by a reporter if she is “ever going to concede.”

Abrams refused to utter a word, then went inside the conference she was attending and lied to everybody, saying she told the reporter “no.”

Then there is the alternate reality where she insists politicians are supposed to graciously concede their races.

“Trump’s refusal to concede the election if he loses proves he is a petty man uninterested in our national stability,” she said weeks prior to the 2016 election.

So what does that make Abrams? Petty, uninterested in our national stability, a threat to our democracy, or just an unhinged reality denier?

The answer to that question is ‘yes.’
