GOP frontrunner Donald Trump had a plan from the beginning. He wanted to distract from the Democrats, who are hoping the Democrat debate will give them an opportunity to present their views to a national television audience during a campaign season in which the GOP contest has been in the spotlight.
“At the request of many, and even though I expect it to be a very boring two hours, I will be covering the Democrat Debate live on twitter!” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
Well, after two and a half hours and a few bathroom breaks by the candidates, Trump had picked up 70,000 new followers and his tweets were as entertaining as he usually is!
Final count: Followers added during the #DemDebate: Trump: 70,000 Sanders: 46,000 Clinton: 10,000 O’Malley: 5,200 Webb: 3,000 Biden: 3,000
