Ever since Betsy DeVos was nominated by President Donald J. Trump to overhaul the outdated Department of Education, the left has been out to get her. DeVos is a strong proponent of school choice and the elimination of Common Core, and her willingness to take on America’s teachers unions drives the left crazy.
As we at The Political Insider have extensively documented, liberals have been vicious towards Ms. DeVos. During her contentious confirmation hearing, Senator Elizabeth Warren refused to shake DeVos’ hand, but that should come as no surprise given that Warren is one of the most far-left members of Congress.
Democrats’ hatred for DeVos was so visible that Vice President Mike Pence was forced to step in and break a 50-50 tie in order to confirm her. After her confirmation, things didn’t get any better for the secretary, as far-left protesters physically blocked her from entering a public school in Washington, D.C.
Well, the hysteria over DeVos leading the Department of Education continues to this day, and the left just viciously attacked her after a long-time department staffer sent out a tweet with a misspelling.

Internet trolls on Sunday blamed new Education Secretary Betsy DeVos for a typo on the department’s Twitter feed that misspelled the name of a prominent African-American sociologist, but a spokesman said the mistake was made by a longtime employee.
The tweet included a quotation attributed to W.E.B. Du Bois that incorrectly spelled the sociologist’s last name with an “e.” The mistake immediately drew hundreds of responses mocking the department’s misspelling.

The department quickly updated the tweet with the correct spelling and an apology:

The Department of Education also explained that the spelling error “had been made by a longtime department employee. He said a new review process was being put in place with additional staff to prevent future tweet errors.”
Despite the Department of Education apologizing for the honest mistake, that didn’t stop liberals on Twitter from viciously attacking Ms. DeVos:

The left is freaking out because President Trump has tasked Betsy DeVos with overhauling America’s crumbling education system. The teachers unions are in all-out panic mode because they know Ms. DeVos won’t be bullied into submission by the left and instead will put America’s children first.
