Bernie Says AOC Will Work In His Administration if He Becomes President

On Monday morning, “CBS This Morning” sat down with 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for a joint interview. There, the Vermont senator said “AOC” would work in his White House if he won the election.

During the interview, Sanders was asked if he would consider Ocasio-Cortez for his running mate. Ocasio-Cortez responded, “I think I’m too young for that.”

Sanders replied, “There you go, she’s answered.”

When asked if Ocasio-Cortez would work in a Bernie Sanders White House, he said, “Yes, you would.”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “Well, I know, I guess I know you’ll ask.”

AOC Has Already Endorsed Sanders

The Political Insider reported last week on Ocasio-Cortez’s endorsement of Sanders.

TPI’s Wayne Dupree said of the endorsement, “Was anyone surprised that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her crew would be endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders? Let’s be real. The entire cast of the Democrat field is below the benchmark of idiocy, so this endorsement is nothing but a seal of approval on stupidity…”

“Bernie and AOC still want to give away everything we have in this country,” Dupree observed. “Medicare for all, loan forgiveness, free lunches for all students, and numerous other freebies. As for who will pay for all this, they claim – tax and tax the rich. I can tell you now that the rich are not going to pay for all this.”

So of course the two self-described socialists have each other’s back.

Why Did ‘Woman of Color’ Ocasio-Cortez’ Back ‘Old White Guy’ Sanders?

In addition to Ocasio-Cortez, three members in total of the far Left “Squad” in Congress – AOC herself, along with Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib – have endorsed Bernie.

But AOC was put on the spot during the CBS interview when she was asked why a “woman of color” such as herself was endorsing an “old white guy” like Sanders?

“As a woman of color, why back an old white guy?” the CBS reporter asked. “And is this the future of the party?”

Ocasio-Cortez said she’d like the Democrat party to be seen as the one willing to reach across certain demographic aisles for one common cause.

“I’m actually very excited about this partnership because it shows what we have to do in our country is that we have to come together across race, across gender, across generation,” AOC said.

The identity politics religion of extremists like Ocasio-Cortez and her cohorts will continue to make questions like the one above more complicated for them to answer.

But none of that would obviously prevent her from working in a President Bernie Sanders administration.
