While most of the nation is clamoring to get back to work, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is telling Americans they should boycott their employers when the coronavirus crisis clears.
In yet another demonstration that the New York socialist dreams of a day when nobody works and instead receives a government check for existing, AOC urged people to refuse to return to their jobs once the economy is opened back up.
Speaking on a new Vice TV talk show, AOC told viewers that working and earning a living to feed your family does not set you free.
“When we talk about this idea of reopening society you know, only in America —does the president — when the president tweets about liberation — does he mean go back to work,” she said.
Don’t Do It
Despite protests cropping up across the nation with people struggling to make ends meet, suffering economically and financially, AOC advised Americans that when businesses start opening back up they should just shrug their shoulders and stay home.
“When we have this discussion about going back or reopening, I think a lot people should just say ‘no’- we’re not going back to that,” she suggested. “We’re not going back to working 70 hour weeks just so that we can put food on the table and not even feel any sort of semblance of security in our lives.”

People Are Suffering
What is it with New York Democrats and their complete lack of empathy for people who are dying to get back to work, pay their bills, and feed their family?
Businesses are hanging by a thread and AOC wants workers to refuse to show, forcing them to quite possibly close and affecting the livelihoods of their co-workers.
Brilliant!
Just yesterday, fellow Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo was sneering at those wanting to work by saying, “You want to go to work? Go take a job as an essential worker. Do it tomorrow.”
A reporter asked Gov. Cuomo what he’d say to New Yorkers who want to go back to work because they’re running out of money, to which he replied, “economic hardship doesn’t equal death”

Deflecting Blame
In another live stream video, AOC placed blame for a shut down economy on President Trump’s shoulders.
“If you wanna make sure that we reopen the economy, why don’t you turn around, march on over to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and protest this president who’s not supporting our governors and making sure that we get the tests, the medical equipment, the hospital funding, and the state and local funding, so that we can all get on with our lives,” she stated.
Wait, which is it? Do you want people working or not?
In another demonstration of her economic schizophrenia, Ocasio-Cortez earlier in the week said she “absolutely love(s) to see” the oil market crash and subsequent job losses that will be a result.
Ocasio-Cortez graduated from Boston University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations. As an economic illiterate, she may want to demand a refund.
