Hollywood actress-turned-activist Alyssa Milano just embarrassed herself once again when she posted a video of what she claimed looked like “Trump’s Gestapo kidnapping protesters.”
It quickly came to light, however, that it was really just members of the New York Police Department arresting a suspect.
A panicked Milano took to Twitter on Tuesday to post a video that was allegedly recorded near East 25th Street and 2nd Ave. in Manhattan.
“CAN ANYONE CONFIRM WHATS GOING ON HERE?” Milano wrote. “It looks like #TrumpsGestapo kidnapping protestors. I’m sorry for putting out something that hasn’t been verified but this seems like it’s important to get out there.” (Warning: graphic language in the following footage.)

As you can see, the video clearly shows NYPD officers using their bicycles as barricades so that plainclothes officers can grab the suspect and put her in an unmarked van. The NYPD quickly debunked the claim being made by Milano, explaining what really happened here.
“In regard to a video on social media that took place at 2 Ave & 25 St, a woman taken into custody in an unmarked van was wanted for damaging police cameras during 5 separate criminal incidents in & around City Hall Park,” the NYPD tweeted. “The arresting officers were assaulted with rocks & bottles.”

Even radically liberal New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio debunked this, saying that the NYPD arrested the woman and charged her with damaging police property.

Despite all of this, Milano has yet to admit to or apologize for her knee-jerk nonsense, and she has also not deleted her tweet in which she claimed NYPD officers were “Trump’s Gestapo.”
Instead, she is continuing to use her platform to vilify the police, not caring if there is any truth to the things she is posting.
This comes one week after Milano accused the police of “terrorizing the community” of Portland, Oregon, ignoring all the violence that is happening there.
“Police & federal agents are terrorizing the community, threatening lives, and attacking people simply for protesting police brutality,” she tweeted. “This is not law and order. This is lawlessness — it must be stopped. Trump’s lawlessness must end.”
