Alex Jones BLASTS Megyn Kelly After Controversial Interview

It should go without saying that interviewing someone is hardly an endorsement of their views. If that was the case, you’d never see Fox News interview leftists, or MSNBC interview conservatives.

Unfortunately for Megyn Kelly, the outrage police don’t seem to realize that, and she’s getting blasted for interviewing the controversial radio host Alex Jones, better known as the founder and figurehead of InfoWars.

Anyone who watched NBC’s promo for the interview would glean that she challenged Jones on conspiracies he’s pushed in the past (such as conspiracies about the Sandy Hook tragedy, and 9/11). That didn’t seem to matter to anyone, however, who was outraged that she dared interview the man in the first place. Parents of the victims in Sandy Hook in particular were outraged about the Jones interview.

But Megyn’s biggest critic hasn’t been her fellow liberals – it’s been Jones.

In an 12-minute diatribe posted to his YouTube page after the day-long NBC interview last week, Jones went after the former Fox News host’s physical appearance and stated that he had ‘zero attraction’ to Kelly.

Jones’ rambling rant  culminated with a vicious and ferocious personal attack against the 47-tear-old mother-of-three, and the radio host’s admission that he told Kelly during her visit to Texas: ‘Your children are going to die of cancer.’ He then really drove that comment home by adding: ‘You’re going to outlive your children, Megyn.’

‘Not feminine. Cold. Robotic. Dead,’ said Jones of his interview with Kelly, whose warm demeanor and welcoming looks managed to melt the icy facade of Russian president Vladimir Putin one week prior.

‘I felt zero attraction to Megyn Kelly. That’s not an insult to Megyn Kelly. I talked to a lot of other folks that know her. They say, “No. It’s the same.” Because you’re dealing with a sociopath? A psychopath? I don’t know.”‘

Jones also attacked Kelly’s appearance, saying she had a “painted-on joker smile” and “lawyer, sociopath eyes.”

On Monday, Jones called for Megyn to withhold airing the interview for allegedly misrepresenting his views on Sandy Hook.

And Megyn released a statement of her own.

While it’s been said that there’s no such thing as bad publicity, the controversy hasn’t translated to more eyeballs for her new show. According to AdWeek, Megyn was beaten in the ratings by a rerun of a 60 Minutes episode that got twice as many total viewers. Eight million people watched the rerun, compared to 3.6 million who viewed Megyn’s show “Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly.” By its second episode, the show suffered a 42 percent drop in viewership.

Kelly had a comfortable gig at Fox. In hindsight, it looks like it was a bad idea to leave it.
