After Being Caught Disobeying Her Own Mask Mandate, San Francisco Mayor London Breed Blasts ‘Fun Police’

San Francisco Mayor London Breed defended violating her own city's mask mandate, criticizing the "fun police" and saying it was permissible because she was "feeling the spirit" at the time.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed defended violating her city’s mask mandate, criticizing the “fun police” and saying it was permissible because she was “feeling the spirit” at the time.

Breed, a Democrat, was caught dancing indoors in tight quarters while catching a live jazz show last week.

Video and images of the mayor, along with numerous other unmasked attendees, were posted to social media by a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the city’s current pandemic mandates, masks may only be removed while “actively eating or drinking.”

The video shows clearly that London Breed was doing neither of those things while dancing maskless.

Pipe Down ‘Fun Police’ – London Breed Doesn’t Have to Follow Mask Rules

London Breed joins a long list of Democrats who have flaunted mask rules for the common people during the recent pandemic.

We all saw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s famous hair salon visit while small businesses in San Francisco were struggling to stay afloat due to pandemic lockdowns.

California Governor Gavin Newsom last year was also caught red-handed violating orders that gatherings be limited to just three households and warning that singing and shouting is “strongly discouraged” indoors.

Newsom was caught dining at a restaurant known as The French Laundry, and his party, according to reports at the time included 22 people, was held indoors, and was “so loud, other patrons complained.”

Much like Pelosi and Newsom, London Breed doesn’t think the rules apply to her.

She replied to the controversy rather brazenly, mocking the “fun police” for micromanaging her night out and saying she doesn’t have to wear a mask when she’s “feeling the spirit” of the music.

Think you’d get away with such a defense if you were caught out in public violating mask mandates?

Feeling the Spirit

London Breed suggested that having a drink at the table was enough of a defense for not wearing a mask.

“My drink was sitting at the table,” said Breed. “I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit and I wasn’t thinking about a mask.”

But the mask mandate states one must be “actively” eating and drinking.

“We don’t need the fun police to come in and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing,” Breed added.

Now that’s a statement I completely agree with.

We don’t need anybody micromanaging our lives and telling Americans what they should or shouldn’t be doing. They should have a choice.

The problem is Breed and the Democrats don’t actually believe that. They fully believe in micromanaging the lives of Americans but that the rules do not apply to them.

Even CNN wasn’t buying Breed’s act. Watch host Brianna Keilar:

The San Francisco Mayor was also caught dining at the French Laundry in similar circumstances to Governor Newsom in November of 2020.

Breed denied violating any orders at the time but said the perception was bad because “people expect me to of course be held to a higher standard.”

Nobody expects a higher standard from hypocritical Democrats. Nobody.
