As spring swings into full gear, it appears Americans’ hearts are beginning to warm up to their President.

Sure, the media, leftist conspiracy theorists, and generally unhinged lunatics have kept President Trump’s approval rating in a deep freeze for quite a while, but that appears to be changing.

A solid 50 percent of likely voters in the Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll indicates that they approve of the President’s job performance, with 49 percent offering a thumbs down.

Can you imagine where he’d be right now if the media was even vaguely interested in reporting on facts rather than trying to tear down his presidency?

The journalistic class has to be absolutely beside themselves over this news …

What is it about the Trump Administration that voters are taking a liking to? Is it the slew of worker bonuses being handed out, the lower taxes, the higher average earnings? Or is it simply that America is finding out that Trump truly is trying to make America great again by putting their needs first for a change?

Whatever it is, it appears to be working.

Just ask former President Obama, whose approval rating wasn’t this high at this stage of his presidency despite every significant media outlet fawning over him as if he were the second coming.

On April 2nd, 2010, Obama’s approval rating sat at 46 percent, with 53 percent disapproving.

Oof. That has to hurt for a guy who is truly in love with himself.

The media supported every word and action by President Obama during his entire time in office, but even more so during his first few years when he had a supermajority in Congress. By contrast, a recent report indicates the media has only provided 5 percent positive coverage of Trump, hitting him with three times more negative coverage than they did for his predecessor.

Better buckle up for another four years of Trump, Democrats. In fact, the only thing that could stop him is the Democrats regaining control of the House and Senate in the 2018 midterms.

Fortunately, this latest Rasmussen poll also offers advice for Republicans on how to get back into voters good graces – follow Trump.

Linked within the daily tracking poll is another conducted this past October that indicates GOP voters want their party to follow Trump, not Republicans.

“57 percent of Likely GOP Voters believe the Republican Party should be more like the president,” Rasmussen writes. “Just 33% feel the party should be more like Senate Republicans instead.”

Let that sink in for a minute – Despite everything you’ve heard on television or in newspapers, President Trump is more popular than Congress, more popular than his own party, and more popular than the beloved Obama.
