Chalk up yet another big economic victory for Donald Trump – even before he’s set foot in the White House. Trump isn’t even officially president for another month yet, and he’s saved hundreds of jobs through his negotiation with Carrier, and has now saved taxpayers some serious cash thanks to a new deal.
The President-elect has made reigning in out-of-control government spending a top priority, specifically citing the Department of Defense and their contract with Boeing to build Air Force One.
Trump took one look at the exorbitant $4 billion price tag earlier this month and demanded that Boeing cut costs or he would cancel the order.
Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!

Well guess what? Trump asked and he shall receive – But the American taxpayer may be the biggest beneficiary!
Boeing is going to do exactly as they’ve been asked, vowing to build a more affordable Air Force One.
Via Fox News:
The CEO of Boeing told President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday that his company can build a new Air Force One for less than originally quoted — after Trump complained about the cost.
Earlier this month, Trump made headlines for blasting the company on Twitter for alleged cost overruns with the new fleet of Air Force One planes.
Trump called on the government to cancel the contract and called the supposed $4 billion price tag out of control.
Boeing’s Dennis Muilenburg, who met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., addressed the media after the meeting and said, “We’re going to get it done for less than that, and we’re committed to working together to make sure that happens.”
Anthony Scaramucci, a top adviser to the President-elect, called Boeing’s announcement a “big win for taxpayers.”

Scaramucci said Trump is sending an even more important message to the federal government as well as the American people.
President-elect Trump is sending a powerful message prior to even taking office: government waste will no longer be tolerated at any level

During the campaign season, Trump vowed that “We (America) will have so much winning if I get elected that you may get bored with the winning.”
He may be onto something. After the Carrier deal and now the Boeing negotiations, the American worker and taxpayer have done more winning in the last month than we’ve done in the previous eight years.
