World Leader Compares Donald Trump to Ronald Reagan

Nothing says “Make America Great Again” like a comparison to Cold Warrior Ronald Reagan.

The Trump Administration hosted Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko this week and announced new sanctions against the Gipper’s former Soviet foe, according to USA Today:

As Poroshenko arrived at the White House, the Treasury Department said it is targeting 38 individuals and entities “involved in the ongoing conflict” with Ukraine over the Russian occupation of Crimea. Russia “annexed” the region of Ukraine in 2014, and has backed pro-Russian separatists fighting in eastern Ukraine; the Treasury sanctions list includes Ukrainian separatists and officials of the Russia government.

President Poroshenko also met with President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and State Department Secretary Rex Tillerson during his visit, as seen on the Ukraine Presidential Twitter feed.

According to all parties involved, the meetings went extremely well. In fact, Poroshenko had nothing but praise for President Trump.

In this interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, he even glowingly compared Trump to President Reagan winning the Cold War:

“I’m absolutely confident that…President Trump, the real leader, the very charismatic person, can help me to bring peace to my land, the same way like Reagan [brought] victory in the Cold War without one single shot.”

WATCH:

Lest we forget, our previous president was NEVER favorably compared to Reagan. In fact, President Obama’s reaction to Russia shooting down a Ukrainian airliner was sharply contrasted with Reagan’s response to a similar incident of Russian aggression.

The more we step away from Obama and move towards Reagan the better!
