Since Barack Obama left office in January he has made it clear that his post-White House career will be spent giving speeches and writing books.
So far, Obama has locked up a $60 million book deal for he and his wife, as well as more than $3 million for two paid speeches.
While he was president, Barack Obama loved to lecture the American public, and it appears he won’t stop now.
At the Seeds and Chips Global Food Innovation Summit, Obama proclaimed, “When it comes to climate change, the hour is almost upon us. I do not believe that this planet is condemned to ever-rising temperatures. I believe these are the problems that were caused by man and can be solved by man.”
When it came to the Q&A portion of the event with Sam Kass, the former White House chef, Obama began to lecture the American people about their supposed excessive consumption of meat:

“People aren’t as familiar with the impact of cows and methane,” he told Kass, adding that “as people want to increase more meat consumption, that in turn is spiking the growth of greenhouse emissions coming out of the agricultural sectors.”
“What it does mean is that we’re also going to have to find ways to produce protein in a more efficient way,” he said, arguing that people will have to learn to “have a smaller steak” and reduce their meat consumption.
After Obama’s holier-than-thou lecturing concluded, Sam Kass felt the need to correct the record, and said that he probably cooked “thousands of the steaks” for the president.
Kudos to Kass for perfectly nailing the former president after his smug, condescending attitude towards the public fell flat on its face.
Obama’s hypocritical attitude when it comes to lecturing Americans on the issue of global warming is nothing new. The former president flies around the world in a plane with a multi-SUV entourage that spews CO2 while he has the audacity to lecture the rest of us on how we live our lives.
If Obama wants to spout his global warming alarmism to the world perhaps he should practice what he preaches. Until Obama puts his money where his mouth is, he should stop telling the rest of us how to live our lives.
