Maxine Waters Questions the Patriotism of Republicans Who Stand With Trump

Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters said Sunday that she questions the patriotism of Republicans who are standing with President Trump. The California Democrat made the comments during an appearance on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” program during a discussion about the Mueller report released on Thursday.

Waters said of Sen. Lindsey Graham and other Republicans who support Trump, “One of the things you have to think about is this; who are the patriots? Who will stand up for America when our obvious enemy is basically hacking into our electoral systems? Who is going to stand up for America and claim to be a patriot when they see that there are many people around this president who have interacted with those from Russia, from the Kremlin, and with Putin? Where are they coming from?”

“And I think when you ask yourself this question, you’d better be concerned about whether or not these are real patriots or whether or not they’re in the pockets of the president of the United States wishing to gain favor from the president and they’re going to stand up for him no matter what,” Waters continued.

“And so I call out their patriotism at this point this time,” she added. “You take a look at this report, and you will be shocked at the information that’s unfolding.”

“This is not the end of anything!”

After it was reported in March that Robert Mueller could find no collusion between Trump and Russia, Maxine Waters was not ready for this ordeal to be over. The Political Insider reported:

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has not quite reached the acceptance phase yet after Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation found no evidence of any Russian collusion on the part of President Donald Trump or his associates.

“This is not the end of anything!” Waters declared to MSNBC’s Joy Reid over the weekend about the conclusions reached by the nearly two-year investigation.

“This is the — well, it’s the end of the report and the investigation by Mueller. But those of us who chair these committees have a responsibility to continue with our oversight,” Waters continued.

“There’s so much that, uh, needs to be, you know, taken a look at at this point,” she claimed.

“And so, it’s not the end of everything.”

Let’s face it, when it comes to Democrats and their Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory, it will never be the end. Maxine Waters might be ridiculous, but she is by no means alone in her party in continuing with this delusion.
